How is Demo Day pricing different from per-hire fees? +

It's a flat subscription, not a placement fee. Whether you hire zero, one, or six people from a Demo Day, the price is the same. Recruiters charge 15–25% of first-year salary per hire — we charge a predictable monthly that doesn't punish you for doing the right thing.

What if we don't hire anyone? +

That happens, and it's a win — you didn't hire the wrong person. Most teams hire from 1 in 3 Demo Days. Either way, the team that went through one is now better at reading culture-fit, which compounds.

Do candidates pay? +

Never. The candidate side is free, forever. We think it would be perverse to charge people for the chance to audition a job — and the network only works if everyone shows up.

How do you ensure candidate quality? +

Every candidate completes a short experience profile and a 15-min onboarding call with our community team. We don't gate by seniority — we gate by intentionality. The result: people who actually want to be in your room.

Can we run remote Demo Days? +

Yes. About 30% of Demo Days are remote — a structured 4-hour day across Zoom, a shared doc, and a real sprint planning. The format is tighter; the signal is the same.

What does success look like in month 1? +

Two Demo Days run, one offer extended, and a calibrated culture-fit rubric your team agrees on. We benchmark you against teams of similar size in your first onboarding call.

Can we cancel anytime? +

Monthly plans cancel at the end of the cycle. Annual plans don't auto-cancel mid-term but you can pause for up to 60 days, no penalty. No clawbacks, no exit fees.

Do you offer non-profit pricing? +

Yes — verified non-profits, public schools, and social-impact orgs get Starter at 50% off, or one Demo Day per year on us. Write to hello@exminds.com with your org and we'll set it up.
